DIY : Install Aftermarket Horn
Kalo rasa bleh buat sendiri, baik buat sendiri
memandangkan kos nya kalo di compare dgn buat kt kdai aksesori bleh tahan ler.
Brang2 dia beli kt kdai letrik kt Jln Pudu. Mmg murah.
Yg sebenarnya, horn aftermarket nye spt Hella dan Bosch blhe jugak plug n play terus kt wire asal horn ttp dsbbkan keta dah lama, karen flow dh kureng so bunyi kurang best. So jalan penyelesaian, install Relay-kasik power dr bateri trus Faedah? bunyi dia firm/clear. Bebarangnya:-
1) Horn (Hella/Bosch/etc) kt Jlan Pudu dlm RM10-RM100 bgantung pd model/ayat power.
2) Relay kalo bleh yg waterproof. dlm RM10-RM30 tgk jenis.
3) Relay Soket bwh RM10. Elok letak kemas seket. kdai aksesori smbung guna wire/tape. tk kemas langsung.
4) Wire dpt pelbagai color lg bagus. RM8 dpt 15 metre. itu pon dh byk.
5) Fuse bwah RM5.
6) Wire pin socket bawah RM5 gak. balance wat spare.
7) Black tape dlm RM1.
Catatan.
a) biasa org letak kt blkg bonet depan keta. ada tapak kiri kanan sebelah headlamp. relay letak tang tgh2 kt tmpat bukak bonet.
b) wire bungkus ngan tape tarik ke bateri (kalo psang relay ler) melalui bwah lampu dpan kiri, ikut dlm fender kasik kemas tk serabut kapla jingga.
c) utk pasang horn ni, JGN sambung grounding wire dr relay ke body sbb horn kiter guna terminal negatif (-) sbg trigger. Kalo kipas ka, lampu ka no problem.

Install FICD
install FICD ni pd aku option terakhir selepas:-
a) IACV telah diservis ttp masih gagal control idling.
b) Xde duit nk beli EACV baru. (Mahal).
c) Beli seken kt kdai potong tp problem gak.
d) Tk reti ejes EACV.
e) IACV tk rosak tp sbb engine dh rojak, idling pon bengong (cam engine aku).
Apa itu FICD?
Merupakan 1 alat yg mem "bypass" kan aliran udara ke dlm intake. Bila kiter on ekon, idling akan jatuh kerana compressor ni guna power yg tinggi (engine jd berat). Sbb tu minyak guna lebih biler on ekon. Jd, Fungsi EACV asal ni sama cam FICD, mberi arahan kpd engine agar naikkan idling. Beza secara saintifik, EACV mberi arahan mlalui sensor/elektronik, FICD scara manual. Dia lebihkan udara, timing pon tinggi.
Bahan2nya:-
1) FICD. beli kt kdai sparepart pon ada. Baru dlm RM40-RM60. brand denso pon ada. kdai potong ada jual gak. famous brand toyota dlm RM50.
2) 2 wire lain color. panjang dlm 3 metre kot. kos RM2-RM5.
3) hose 1 metre lebih dr cukup. saiz lebih kurang saiz sama cam kt intake tu. Rabak RM1-RM10 kot.
4) 2 T socket. beli kt kdai aquarium bleh. kdai hardware bleh. kdai sparepart bleh. ada jnis plastic, besi, emas juga tembaga. RM1-RM10 kot.
Caranya:-
Kalo ikut diagram di bawah tu,
a) Potong hose A, letak T Joint. Hose A ni dr intake hose ke dlm engine.
b) Potong hose B, letak T Joint. Hose B ni dr body intake ke celah2 engine kt bwah. bleh juga guna hose lain yg ada dekat intake body. jgn hose myk sudah.
c) sambung hose C dan D dr T Joint tu. Hose C ke lubang FICD atas, Hose D ke lubang FICD bawah.
d) Buat tapak FICD letak la kt mana2 patut.
e) Ada 2 wire di FICD. Biasanya 1 wire mesti black. sambung ke body (chasis as Ground). 1 lg sbg life sambung ke wire ekon compressor. Bila on ekon wire ni akan received karen utk aktifkan FICD.
f) dh siap pasang. leh start engine. then on ekon. masa on ekon akan dgr bunyi tik kt FICD tanda dia jalan. Ejes idling ikut kesesuaian sama guna screw driver atau allen key (bgantung jenis FICD yg digunakan).
SEKIAN. 1 gambar tu kt EG aku dulu. penah psang kt B16. Mmg idling ok. Cuma yg tk best nya serabut penuh wire. Hinggalah dpt ilham leh ejes EACV tu. Nanti aku kasi tgk sbb tgh wat special tool dulu. ADIOS...
